Expert Tips on Your YouTube Channel

You probably are wondering "How exactly can I be professional on YouTube?". Well, you came to the right place! Nobody enjoys messy, unorganized videos!

Taking Risks

Now depending on what videos you make, You want to have an HD camera and/or a video editing software. Now, who here likes to watch videos in 240p? More people prefer 720p or 1080p. Now for this, you need to spend quite some money. For good editing softwares, I would recommend Sony Vegas Pro 11. It provides a lot of effects/options, and is fairly simple (But will require some learning). You could always use other softwares such as Windows (Live) Movie Maker, iMovieect. Also, if you into recording your computer monitor itself, you dont want to use a camcorder. Use a Onscreen recording software, an example of one would be HyperCam. Also, you might want a photo editing software, for example: Photoshop CS5. You don't want to use paint, but you can. If you are not good at editing, hire someone or ask a friend to help.

What You Can Do With a Editing Software

*Add watermarks, so your viewers can know for sure it was made by you.
*Render in HD
*Cut out unwanted parts
*Add Visual effects
*Add text on screen
*Making Intros
 And More

Playlists, Titles, and Descriptions

Playlists: You always want to keep videos orginized, such as putting it in certain playlists. For example, you may have a podcast, or gameplay series, you want to place it into right playlists, and you can always make theplaylists into categories, or series themselves. This will make it easier for your viewers to find certain videos of yours.

Titles: Many people like to rely on videos with a professional title, for example: You are a beginner cook, you are searching on how to make a pizza and you see multiple results, which do you think will give you more information/details and is more clear, the one that title is "how to make a mushroom pizza" Or "How to make a Mushroom Pizza for beginners"? Just because it says beginners, doesn't mean its going to be better, although it does give more detail on the topic/video. Also, the capitals in each word, give information that it is moreorganized/clear. Although, it doesn't necessarily mean its better, but it grabs the searchers attention more.

Descriptions: Many people read the description before they watch the video. They want to know if the video is a result of they were searching for. You want to provide much detail on the video, what it explains, what is the topic, how many steps there are, ect. If you left a unclear description and the viewer was unsure if the video provided what they were looking for and watched it to make sure and did not provide anything they were looking for, they are going to be disappointed. Also, they are most likely not going to subscribe or like, but dislike it, and/or negative comment. Now, you definitely don't want that.

Respecting Others in Your Video(s)

Many people can get offended over the smallest things, even if you were joking. In this matter, you should respect religion, race, disabilities, ect. I'm not saying you cant say that you are an atheist and not a Christian, or say what race/color you are, but don't be like "Americans are fat and lazy" or  "Asians cant see" or even "All people who believe in Religion are dumb". If you do this, you will get MANY dislikes and negative comments (depending on the popularity of the video), and could get sued, for making fun of a certain person orthreatening.
This brings me to my next point, even before people watch the video, they check the comments and the amount of likes/dislikes. Nobody wants to see a video that has much more dislikes than likes, or a video with only negative comments.

Having a Community For Your YouTube Channel

Many professional/popular artists, YouTubers, companies have a whole community. What I mean by this is by having a Facebook Page, Blog or Website, Twitter Account, Tumblr profile. This provides the fan more information about you, or an easier way for them to keep up to date with you, or contact you.

Copyright Content

Don't have anything that is copyrighted in your video, unless you have permission. For example don't use a famous, copyrighted song unless the artist told you that you could. It is very difficult to communicate with a famous person. Although, if you look up some uncopyrighted music, you could use that in your video. Also, don't use anything else uncopyrighted, you can get sued for it.

Don't Beg for Likes/Subscriptions

No body likes when you beg for likes, comments, and subscription. It makes you seem desperate andoverconfident for positive stats, and even if you are desperate, don't show that, it makes you lookunprofessional. Although, it is okayF to say something like "Thank you for watching, If you liked the video, leave a like, comment, and if you want to see more videos from me in the future, Subscribe!".

Don't Keep Commenting on Your Own Video

If you keep commenting on your own video, it will look like you are desperate and unprofessional. Although, its okay to say "Thanks!" once or twice, or explain out a problem that is happening to the viewer that has to do with your video.
Extra Tip(s):
*Don't reveal too much information about yourself
*Think about what your VIEWERS want to see, not what YOU want to record.
*Think about what other people expect from you (in a way)
*Ignore haters
*Look at other popular channels, to see how they are like
*Ask for suggestions
